What Can We Do For You?

Perhaps the hardest part of being an artist is knowing how to promote yourself. At BSA, we can do that work for you. Based on your goals, we can help you find the most effective way to get the word out about your project, or even yourself.

Success Stories

British Director Clare Davidson hired BSA to do publicity for her off-Broadway production of Waiting For Godot at the 78th Street Theater Lab. During the show, she began working with Bret Adams, a leading New York Theatrical Agent. In June, Clare contacted us again, this time to help her promote her talents in the extremely competitive New York market (she has worked extensively in England and Ireland). Together, we wrote a letter, which was sent to several major theater companies in New York. The day after the mailing went out, I received a call from the Pearl Theatre Company, one of the city's leading producers of classical theater. One week later, Clare was signed to direct George Bernard Shaw's Candida, the first production in their 1998-1999 season. (that run has ended, and the Pearl's season continues - call (212)598-9802 for more information).

Even if you have an agent, it sometimes helps to have someone just get the word out about you and what it is that you do. What I have found is that a letter from someone other than you, can be enormously helpful in achieving those goals. The only way that people can hire you is if they know you are available.

Managing a Career - Beginning, Middle and End

When someone is trying to break into an industry, they have a battery of tools at their disposal. There are consultants, employment agencies, newsletters, help wanted ads - all of which are basically unavailable to most artists. If you or someone you know is looking for the right school to attend to acquire the skills you need to work in the arts (theater, film, television, dance, visual art) in the capacity you desire, we can help you find it.  Or are you trying to decide if a career in the arts is right for you, and if so, what field? Maybe you've picked a field, have the skills, and just haven't the slightest idea how to go about getting a job.

We can help. We have years of experience and knowledge to pass on to you. Sometimes just knowing where to look can make the difference between being making the right choice and wasting time on useless activities that don't further your career. On a tight budget? Give us a call, or send an e-mail, and let's see if we can't work something out.
