Narrow Journey Productions To Present

A VAMPIRE TALE

Written by Mark and Michelle Bruner

Directed by Mark Todd Bruner

Thursday October 21st - Sunday October 31st, 2004

The Theatre at GTT - 325 West 33rd Street

October 11, 2004

Narrow Journey Productions, an off-off Broadway theatre company in its fifth season of exploring spirituality and the human experience, will present A Vampire Tale.  Brought back by popular demand, this original play by Mark and Michelle Bruner.  Performances will begin on Thursday, October 21st and will continue through Sunday, October 31st.

A Vampire Tale revolves around a group of interconnected characters whose lives and actions are being manipulated by forces around them. Love, Lust and Betrayal surface as they try to regain control of their situations. The story takes the elements of ominous supernatural presence from the classic Dracula folklore and applies them to a modern sensibility.  Movies such as “Interview with a Vampire”, “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” and the Broadway show Dracula present a Romantic picture of The Vampire as a Tragic Anti-Hero,  “A Vampire Tale” puts forth a different theory - raising questions about Reality and the Nature of Evil, and declaring of the title character: “He is not who you think he is…”

The play features John Paul Bellomo, Victor A. Bonnici, Kevin T. Collins, Mika A. Hoyle, Monica McFadden, Adam Pearson, Dawn C. Robbins, Lindsey Sanders, Liza St. John, Todd Tagliaferro, Jonathan Toth, Michael Tranzilli, Katie Tuminelly, Channie Waites and Kimberly Yates. Director Mark Todd Bruner, Technical Director David DeJong, and Costume & Set Designer Shelby Wilde – all members of the Artistic Staff of NJP, are joined on this project by Choreographer Emily Ann Smith and Stage Manager Emilee Ruth Pershing.

Narrow Journey Productions (NJP), founded in 1999, uses modern stories and cutting edge scripts to reach out to the community at large with a compelling message which will prompt them to think about the purpose of spirituality, the possibilities of faith and the path of Christianity. NJP strives to set a new standard of excellence by using the professional training, performance experience and creative skills of it’s members to nurture an ensemble group of dedicated performers and develop intelligent topical new works which will redefine the landscape of Christian Theatre.  Similar to the way in which the CBS hit “Joan Of Arcadia” explores religious themes in a real life context, NJP hopes to create theater that is both entertaining and enlightening.

The schedule for A VAMPIRE TALE will be Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 6:00pm.  Tickets will be $15.00 and may be purchased by calling NJP at (212) 268-7347, or online at www.narrowjourneyprods.org.
