Coming off a months-long engagement in Los Angeles, Jennie Fahn is bringing her “sassy...solid...sharp” (Backstage West) one-woman show YOU MUTHA! A One Mother Show to the New York International Fringe Festival.  Performances will be at Dixon Place, 258 Bowery, 2nd Floor and will begin on Friday, August 12th and will continue through Saturday, August 27th.

YOU MUTHA! is a candid show about motherhood that offers up all the gory (and hairy) details - no diaper is left unturned.  Jennie Fahn irreverently takes on motherhood in this sexy, energetic romp for anyone who is a mother, or has one.  YOU MUTHA! has been playing in L.A. for over a year to packed houses and strong critical response - Heather Rich of the Santa Monica Daily Press wrote “Fahn manages to transform herself into one mother after another, somehow resonating with each and every member of her audience.  Whether she's rhyming hysterically or dancing maniacally, you can literally feel her commitment to the subject at hand.”  LA Stage Magazine spotlighted her as "an actress worth making the trip for,” and Canyon News called Fahn, "the little dynamo…she's one mutha worth visiting!”

Jennie's Los Angeles stage appearances include The Wild Party (Musical Theater Guild), Anyone Can Whistle (Matrix Theater), A New Brain (West Coast Ensemble) Wonderful Town (Reprise!), Up the Week Without a Paddle (Neurotic Young Urbanites - Garland Award Winner), Merrily We Roll Along (West Coast Ensemble), and The Beggar's Opera (Pasadena Shakespeare Company).  Television appearances include Without A Trace, Summerland, The Bernie Mac Show, Will and Grace, Becker, Presidio Med, and Mad TV.  Writing credits include the plays Daisy's Boy, the children's musical Cracker Jack Day, and many comedy sketches with her three-woman group The Jersey Girls.  Her favorite collaborations have been with her husband, Jonathan Fahn, including the short film Tea With Grandma (Best Actress and Writer Awards - New York Int'l Short Film Festival) in which she starred along with Tippi Hedren, the short play 12 Items or Less, and her short children, Harrison and Samuel.

YOU MUTHA! is directed by Larry Sousa who directed the regional premiere of Swing! for Musical Theatre West, receiving an L.A. Ovation Award nomination for Best Director while his cast won the Ovation for Best Ensemble Performance.  Last summer in New York City Larry conceived and directed Live To Dream, a gala for The American Dance Awards, and also choreographed The Tin Pan Alley Rag for Goodspeed Musicals, Coconut Grove Playhouse, and Pasadena Playhouse, receiving the N.A.A.C.P. Theatre Award and L.A. Ovation Award nominations for Best Choreography.
