MIDNIGHT BRAINWASH REVIVAL is an apocalyptic comedy that takes place in Moab, Utah on the eve of the millennium - New Year's Eve, 1999. The only good man in town is lost in the Himalayas; the evil developer Mordecon threatens to turn the city into a toxic waste dump; prophets roll like tumbleweeds across the desert; desperate tourists search for the messiah; and paranoid truckers hatch crazy plots. MIDNIGHT BRAINWASH REVIVAL was first presented in 1999, with the final performance on New Year's Eve, 1999, the end of the millennium. The company plans to make the show an annual tradition - their version of "It's A Wonderful Life".
Inverse Theater was founded in 1998 to produce new American verse plays. Since then, the company has presented over a dozen productions, and was named Best Downtown Theater by NY Press this year. Mr. Bromley's plays have been presented in theaters in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
MIDNIGHT BRAINWASH REVIVAL will be performed for free on Friday, December 28th, Saturday December 29th and Sunday December 30th at 8pm. There will also be a New Year's Eve performance on Monday December 31st at 8pm; tickets will be $25 and will include a post-show party with the cast. Tickets may be purchased by calling (212) 501-4528, or online at www.inversetheater.com.
