One For My Baby, LLC is pleased to announce Cheever Tyler’s FOUR WOMEN: A PLAY IN FOUR MONOLOGUES directed by Christopher Carter Sanderson. Performances at Greenwich Street Theatre will begin on Sunday, February 5th and will continue through Tuesday, February 28th.

FOUR WOMEN addresses four problems of love, loss, control, and destiny in four unique stories.

The first monologue of the evening, Dixie Glitter, finds its protagonist drunk and forced into accepting the memories and mission of Carry Nation, the infamous campaigner for prohibition.

In the Deep South, the second monologue traces the story of Celeste and her brave hopes that survive the Depression and failed love.

Next, an African-American physics professor named Charlotte struggles with the exactitude of science and the unknown boundaries of faith in the face of unspeakable loss.

The final monologue comes from a thirty year-old Texas firecracker named Trumpet Vine who finds herself stuck between a ticking biological clock and a ready and willing Middle-Eastern lover who has very specific ideas about her future.

Playwright Cheever Tyler developed an interest in dramatic writing while he was Chairman of the Board of The Shubert Theater in New Haven, CT. His plays, The Crystal Bell, Rafting and a musical Hooter have been performed in New Haven. He has also written and produced two short films, “Tuesday,” and “Measles.” A book of his poetry and photographs, “Vineyard Passages” was published by the Covered Bridge Press.

The cast for FOUR WOMEN features Kelly Tuohy (Noises Off, Last of the Red Hot Lovers and Women of Manhattan), Ninon Rogers (Unstick the Woman, Servicemen and Woman at a Threshold), Robin Benson (Kiss Me, Kate!, The Foreigner and The Two Gentlemen of Verona) and Debbie Stanislaus (“All My Children”). FOUR WOMEN will be directed by Christopher Carter Sanderson, founder of Gorilla Repertory Company.

FOUR WOMEN will begin performances on Sunday, February 5th and will continue through Tuesday, February 28th.  Performances will be Mondays and Tuesdays at 8PM and Sundays at 3PM and 8PM. Tickets will be $15 and may be purchased by calling Smarttix at (212) 868-4444 or online at www.smarttix.com.  Photos will be available for download at www.brettsinger.com/clients/fourwomen.html.
